Reasons why you should (not) hire our translation services
- We are not one of the top translation agencies in Spain, although our collaborators are native translators from various parts of the world.
- We don’t have a cool office in Madrid or Barcelona. Many do, and when COVID-19 hit, all of a sudden they were empty. Teleworking – sound familiar?
- We are not a team of translators who master every format, every tool and every digital platform. We are human beings who love what we do and want to ensure that you as a customer feel satisfied and cared for.
- We don’t give our work away. The value of our services has a sole purpose: for your foreign customers to understand you and buy what you are selling. Not just once, but over and over again.
- Our agency isn’t run by a CEO, and it isn’t led by a translator either. We’ll give you a clue: she’s a woman with a degree in Economics and 15 years of dialogue with professionals, companies and entrepreneurs from various countries under her belt.
So who’s behind Traducciones Onboard?
My name is Verónica Andrea Fernández.
And just like a mother who coordinates her kids’ trips to school, makes time for her partner and answers WhatsApps from her boss or clients, I did the same juggling the management of translation projects, settling taxes and walking my dog 🙂
I live in Spain, but the Spanish language can be vastly different from one country to the next. As an Argentinian, I’ve had my fair share of language-related mishaps since moving here.
This is why I believe it is essential to adapt our message to the culture of our target audience.
I can communicate in English, Italian and Portuguese. The latter at a level more basic than a plain T-shirt from Zara.
Trust and respect are non-negotiable values for me.
But don’t take my word for it – let them tell you.

I’ve been collaborating with Verónica for many years and I can say that she always prioritises the quality of the services provided while also balancing everyone’s needs and treating others kindly.
I’m an English and Portuguese translator with a degree from the University of Buenos Aires.
I have over twenty years of professional experience in translation, proofreading and language training in English, Portuguese and Spanish as a second language for clients from various countries.
I specialise in legal, corporate and social studies translations. Driven by my passion for languages, I also study French.

I’ve been working with this team for 15 years and I would like to highlight the essential role played by Verónica, who leads the team and values the work and effort that goes into every single project.
I have always felt supported in every aspect.
This goes for timely payment, consideration of extensions to the work at hand, and deadlines for delivering said work.
It’s also worth emphasising her willingness to mediate with clients whenever there are issues to be resolved and the trust conveyed during all these years of working together.
All that remains is to say how grateful I am to have formed part of this fantastic team for so long now.
I’m a French translator and have been dedicated to this profession for 25 years.

I’ve been collaborating with Verónica for almost a decade now.
It’s an absolute pleasure each time I work with her, thanks to her commitment, professionalism and excellence.
Faced with any type of work-related problem, from the smallest to the most complicated, I have found in Verónica somebody who empathises and takes the whole issue into account, and we have ALWAYS been successful in reaching a mutual solution.
I graduated as a translator from the University of Buenos Aires and I translate various languages.
I’ve been devoted to this beautiful profession for 50 years. Rarely have I encountered such an abundance of valued qualities in those who require my services: Verónica is friendly, likeable, creative, loyal, absolutely proper and helpful.
I specialise in legal and pharmaceutical translations, but the translations I have carried out for Verónica have allowed me to delve into many other areas, which makes the work relationship even more interesting.
